AI for Authors: What Helps, What Hurts, and What Actually Matters
Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing publishing, but much of the conversation has created more confusion than clarity. Jessica will lead a practical, balanced discussion on AI in publishing, including where it may have limited value, where it can create real risks for authors, and how careless use can affect reader trust, retailer acceptance, book sales, rights, and future publishing opportunities.
This is not an AI tools demo or a pro-versus-anti-AI debate. It is a clear-eyed conversation for authors who want to understand current legal and industry developments, how retailers and distributors are responding, and practical ways to protect their work and publishing options.
The event will also feature a silent art auction benefiting a local nonprofit, and Inklings is seeking art donations in any medium. Writers and artists interested in attending or participating are welcome.
