A Tale of Two Owners Wins Business Book Award
BookLogix author Patrick Ungashick's latest title, A Tale of Two Owners, has won a silver award in "Business Fable" category of the Axiom Business Book Awards 2017. The Axiom Business Book Awards are intended to bring increased recognition to exemplary business books and their creators.
Ungashick's previous book, Dance in the End Zone, is about career exit planning.
BookLogix Author Speaks at Toastmasters Conference
Sharon Durgin, author of Marty and the Christmas Eve Surprise, was a featured speaker at the Toastmasters District 58 Speakers Bureau Winter Conference on Saturday, January 28, 2017. Sharon spoke about publishing. The conference was held in Columbia, SC. Sharon's book was released in 2016 and tells the story of Marty, a little mouse who has fun with his friends as they get ready for Santa's arrival.
Successful Library Event for Everyday Aspergers Author
Congratulations to author Samantha Craft on a successful event at a local library in Olympia, WA. Over sixty people attended and asked Samantha questions for over thirty minutes. Samantha's book, Everyday Aspergers, has 150 journal entries sharing the everyday adventures of the life of a woman with Asperger's Syndrome.
The library had this to say about her talk: "We had a great turnout of 63 for last night's event with Samantha Craft on her book Everyday Aspergers. The presenter was engaged, informative, insightful, and honest, and held a lively and extended Q & A session. She brought her own display and gave away a copy of her book by raffle.We got a lot of positive patron feedback, verbal and written. Many people were touched, and I heard one patron say they were moved to tears. I will be recommending Samantha Craft to other TRL branches."
The Ink Penn Author Has Busy Month
BookLogix author Kathy Penn has been keeping busy with her new book The Ink Penn. She had 5 book signings in a one-month period!

Peace Behind the Wire Honored with Two Awards and Is Featured at The King Center
Congratulations to BookLogix author Kit Cummings, whose book Peace Behind the Wire tied with President Jimmy Carter for an Honorable Mention Award in the Memoir/Autobiography category of the Georgia Author of the Year Awards!
Peace Behind the Wire was also named a Benjamin Franklin Digital Award Silver Honoree!
Peace Behind the Wire was featured on January 10, 2016 at The King Center in Atlanta. At the event Kit met several members of Dr. King's family, and spoke about his book and the work of his non-profit organization the Power of Peace Project. Letters to Virtue Receives Award
Letters to Virtue has been honored with the Lulu Downey Cadwalader Award by the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War at their National Convention in July. The award is bestowed based upon the Department or Tent contributing the most research or accomplishment involving the history of the Civil War. Author Ann K. Gunnin is a member of the Georgia Department's Clara Barton Tent #3.
Gunnin's book was also featured in the October 2014 edition of Smoke Signals, a publication covering news in North Georgia.
BookLogix Author Featured at Ohio Book Signing
Judy Keller is one of the featured authors at a book signing that will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the historic McCutchen Overland Inn Museum. Her manuscript for her novel, Returned Broken, was the winner of the 2014 BookLogix Women's Writing Contest and was published in 2016.
Judy was also recently interviewed by The Daily Chief about the novel.

Traveling the Two-Lane by Marilyn Berman has been named a Benjamin Franklin Digital Award Nominee! The book received great praise from the judges, including: "The writing was rich and painted visceral pictures of the geography and the travel experiences, while the personal memories were illuminating and touching. It was very well written."
Author Marilyn Berman and her story are featured in Curve magazine. Marilyn shared her incredible story in the book Traveling the Two-Lane, which was released just a few months before her passing. McAdams Author Featured in Dahlonega Nugget
The new book McAdams, and its author, Guy Middleton, were featured in the December 9, 2015 edition of the Dahlonega Nugget. The first book by Middleton, who is a former Georgia State Senator, McAdams captures the excitement and grit of the nation's western expansion.

Nothing But Your Memories Author Receives Media Coverage at Fall Book Fair
H.B. Clementine, author of the Young Writers Contest winning book Nothing But Your Memories, received lots of media attention at the end of September. She did a special presentation on her writing, and a Q&A with the audience, at Avery Creek Elementary School in North Carolina. Clementine won the 2013 Young Writers Contest. She is currently a high school senior.

Got Proof! Wins First Place Award
Got Proof! My Genealogical Journey Through the Use of Documentation, has received a 2015 Next Generation Indie Book Award. The title, by author Michael Nolden Henderson, won first place in the memoir category and received finalist in the African American literature category.

Pinnacle Lust Wins Award
Pinnacle Lust, the debut novel from author Michelle Dim-St. Pierre, has won the 2015 Beach Book Fest Awards in the Romance category. Pinnacle Lust is the first book in the Pinnacle Trilogy.
Recently the book also received an Honorable Mention in the 2015 Los Angeles Book Festival Awards.

Catherine Baird’s book, Revolution from Within, has been named a finalist for the Montaigne Medial from the Eric Hoffer Awards. The book was also featured at the 2015 NAYDO (North American YMCA Development Organization) conference in Atlanta on April 22, 2015.

Mental Mastery of Chemotherapy Featured in the AJC
The Atlanta Constitution-Journal featured BookLogix author David Nethero and his new book Mental Mastery of Chemotherapy during the week of September 8, 2014. David was diagnosed with cancer in 2012, and decided to publish the book to help share with others what he had learned through his treatment and recovery process.
